When I was a student getting ready to sit my GCSEs, there was so much advice online, especially when crunch time hits. It can be overwhelming for students. These bootcamps are designed to share my tips and tricks for exam taking, revision and how to ask for help. I received 7As in my core subjects and 2Bs in my GCSEs. My subjects were Mathematics, English Literature and Language, Biology, Chemistry, Spanish, Information Technology (IT), Art and Business Studies.

Creating successful academic and organizational tools for myself over the years, my tutoring has now expanded to assist middle and high school students. When my clients share their struggles with me, I get it. It’s not easy. And, I think that because I’ve been there, I am able to help ease the tension.

The Spanish GCSE Bootcamps

Listening, speaking, reading AND writing?! Seems like a lot to revise when you think about it like that. Don’t worry, these sessions are here to give you the strategies you need to tackle each paper and succeed!

Wondering how I got to be fluent in Spanish? It all started with the GCSEs! From there, I moved on to the IB exams and later lived in Seville, Spain for a year. Take it from me, learning Spanish can be a challenge. But with the right tools it’s easy to succeed!

Benefits:

  • 1-1 lessons from a student who started where you are now
  • Reviewing past paper exam and sample questions (including listening practice)
  • Practice your conversation with me, ¡vamos a hablar!
  • A chance to send in your own questions before the session. If they don’t get answered in the session, let’s chat!

The Chemistry GCSE Bootcamps

Chemistry can be a lot sometimes, trust me I get it. I based these sessions around my own struggles with chemistry and how I overcame them. Join me as we bond (see what I did there?) over a shared love of organic chemistry! Or is that just me?

Benefits:

  • Reviewing past paper exam and sample questions
  • A chance to send in your own questions before the session. If they don’t get answered in the session, let’s chat!

Romeo & Juliet

Why do the Montagues and Capulets hate each other so much? What are the main themes in Romeo and Juliet? Who’s Mercutio and why is his death so influential? Let’s discuss!

Get ready to debate, learn quotes and leave feeling more confident. This session will leave you saying ‘Parting is such sweet sorrow!’

The IT GCSE Bootcamps

This bootcamp is all about those computer skills we tend to forget about. Yes, being able to use Google Docs is great but what about Microsoft Office? Learning skills such as how to create a PowerPoint presentation or understanding the basics of Excel will benefit you for your exams and beyond!

Please note for this class you will need access to a laptop (not a tablet) and your own personal email address (not your school email).

The Biology GCSE Bootcamps

Plants, humans, even those litte amoeba, no topic is left out in the Biology GCSE. There’s diagrams definitions, and exam command words to remember. It’s a lot and having someone to guide you can be invaluable. Let’s tackle these topics – even the ones from last year you forgot about!
