Get to know me

Hi, my name is Kameron Young and I am a Bermudian student currently based in London while I study biomedical engineering. I have been working with children as a tutor, online teacher, camp assistant and nanny since 2015. I love working with kids because they are so curious and willing to learn. Seeing them reach that ‘aha!’ moment is always the highlight of my day.

My interest in technology started with my Grandpa when he gave me my first screwdriver and taught me how to use a computer. Since then, I have participated in the FIRST Global Challenge twice as a member of Team Bermuda. Once as a team member of an all-girls, in July 2017 in Washington DC, and again as the team-elected captain in Mexico City in August 2018. From there, I worked as an intern and Scratch coding teacher, for beginners and intermediate, with Connectech Coding Bermuda. This continued during my first year at university where I worked remotely from London.

Creating successful academic and organizational tools for myself over the years, my tutoring has now expanded to assist middle and high school students. When my clients share their struggles with me, I get it. It’s not easy. And, I think that because I’ve been there, I am able to help ease the tension.
